Chairman of Arendalsuka Committee and Mayor of Arendal, Robert Nordli, presents Norway’s biggest Festival of Democracy to the Ambassadors at a briefing organized by the Oslo Diplomatic Circle and hosted by EU Ambassador Nicolas de la Grandville at his delegation.

In 2011, when Arendalsuka started, 20,000 people attended. This year, 190,000 people attended. It is a people’s festival, where serious discussions are matched by a festive atmosphere of fun, food and friendliness. Entry is free for all events.

Mayor Nordli and his team discussed with the Ambassadors, the purpose of the Festival, the demography of the attendees, the popular themes for the events, holding accommodation and arranging events sister festivals, guidance on at Arendalsuka.
